Sometimes, saying “congratulations” to someone on their anniversary feels cheap and slightly condescending. But relationships are a great work, and the tiny glimpses we get of yours always suggest a work of great strength and depth, always in progress and always to be admired.
Fourteen years, in the olden days, was the “ivory” anniversary. Happy ivory day.
