Williamsburg again

This collage (an exquisite corpse?) was spotted this afternoon near the Bedford L stop.

  1. I know exactly where that is — 487 Driggs Ave, btw N. 9th and N. 10th. It’s in the building where Jack the Pelican now resides. How do I know? That door used to be my front door years ago and I painted the little cartoon you can see behind the frame at the top. Of course it’s been enhanced over the years… I probably painted it 10 years ago. Haha!!!! So funny!

  2. It’s the drawing of the head that first attracted my attention, but I love the neatly-cut paper renaissance frame as well.
It hardly seems possible your original image could have survived ten years in that neighborhood! How wonderful!
